Jasmine Gunn

City Planner

City of Chicago, Department of Planning and Development

Jasmine Gunn is a City Planner for the Far South Region with the City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development. Her role includes working with community stakeholders to bring about design excellence projects that are equitable and sustainable development. In addition to working within neighborhoods, Jasmine is the lead DPD staff working with the Chicago Transit Authority on their Red Line Extension transit supportive development plan.

Previous to working as a City Planner, Jasmine worked with Claretian Associates where her main focus was to develop affordable housing and supporting quality of life programs dealing with health and safety. Her earlier work also included her role as an Urban Planning Analyst at the Voorhees Center for Neighborhood and Community Improvement. 

Jasmine holds a Professional Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from Iowa State University and a Master's degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Jasmine's areas of interest  are in community and economic development,equity, and social justice.

Please Note: This is a members-only event limited to five (5) participants.  Registration is now open . Registration occurs on a first-come, first-served basis and typically fills up quickly. Zoom link for the event will be sent upon registration. 

Attendance & Cancellation Policy: We ask that members register for no more than two (2) consecutive lunches. If you have attended the past two lunches and would like to attend this event, please register via the usual process, and we will place your name on the waitlist. If space becomes available or registration isn't full a week in advance, we will contact you. Due to the popularity of these lunches, we ask for a 48-hour cancellation notice. Failure to notify us in advance may result in a 3-month suspension from the Networking Lunch series.
