Join WP+D for a networking brown bag on Wednesday, December 19th from 12:00PM-1:00PM to talk with this month's featured guest: Annissa Lambirth-Garrett, Executive Director, Chicago Low Income Housing Trust Fund.
Annissa Lambirth –Garrett began her work with the City of Chicago, Department of Planning and Development in March 2013 as Director of the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative program. In October of 2016, she began serving as the Executive Director of the Chicago Low-Income Housing Trust Fund.
As Executive Director, Annissa is responsible for providing rental subsidies to over 2900 low-income and homeless Chicago residents. Annissa oversees the daily operations of the organization and manages its $35 Million dollar annual budget.
Annissa brings to the Trust Fund over 22 years of Affordable Housing, Economic, and Community Development experience. Her experiences include Urban Planning, Housing Development, Economic Development, Community Development, Workforce Development, and Affordable Housing Property Management.
Annissa earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA and master’s degrees in Public Management Administration and Public Environmental Affairs from Indiana University.
A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, she has been a resident of Chicago for 16 years where she resides with her husband William and son William, II.
Please Note: This is a members-only event limited to five (5) participants. As with every WP+D Small Networking Lunch, registration will open at 12:00PM on the first day of the month during which the lunch will be held. Registration occurs on a first-come, first-served basis and typically fills up quickly. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch; food is not provided. Meetings are held in Randolph Square on the 1st Floor of the Cultural Center. Look out for one of our board members and WP+D signage.
Attendance & Cancellation Policy: We ask that members register for no more than two (2) consecutive lunches. If you have attended the past two lunches and would like to attend this event, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org to be placed on the waitlist. If space becomes available or registration isn't full a week in advance, we will contact you. Due to the popularity of these lunches, we ask for a 48-hour cancellation notice. Failure to notify us in advance may result in a 3-month suspension from the Networking Lunch series.
