Join WP+D for a networking brown bag on Wednesday, August 8th from 12:00PM-1:00PM to talk with this month's featured guest: Lynnette McRae, Manager at the Metropolitan Planning Council.
Lynnette joined MPC in March of 2017. She is a community development practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in project management and supporting local efforts at comprehensive community revitalization across the country. As a Manager, her work centers around the regional intersections of housing, community development, transit oriented development and equity, including the L-Evated Chicago Initiative and the Cost of Segregation project.
Prior to MPC, Lynnette spent more than 8 years at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development where she led federal implementation efforts around the White House Promise Zones and Strong Cities, Strong Communities initiatives. She held various roles during her time at HUD, from policy development to grantmaking, and coordinating and delivering technical assistance to communities. Lynnette has also worked within the nonprofit sector, local government and for U.S. Congressman Jose E. Serrano in the U.S. House of Representatives. Lynnette is a native of the Chicago-area, has received degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Michigan, and is passionate about empowering youth and traveling.
Please Note: This is a members-only event limited to five (5) participants. As with every WP+D Small Networking Lunch, registration will open at 12:00PM on the first day of the month during which the lunch will be held. Registration occurs on a first-come, first-served basis and typically fills up quickly. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch; food is not provided. Meetings are held in Randolph Square on the 1st Floor of the Cultural Center. Look out for one of our board members and WP+D signage.
Attendance & Cancellation Policy: We ask that members register for no more than two (2) consecutive lunches. If you have attended the past two lunches and would like to attend this event, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org to be placed on the waitlist. If space becomes available or registration isn't full a week in advance, we will contact you. Due to the popularity of these lunches, we ask for a 48-hour cancellation notice. Failure to notify us in advance may result in a 3-month suspension from the Networking Lunch series.
