Join WP+D for a networking brown bag on Wednesday, July 18th from 12:00PM-1:00PM to talk with this month's featured guest: Allison Clements, Executive Director of the Illinois Housing Council.
Allison has over 10 years of professional experience working in housing and community development in both Chicago and New York City. Prior to her role at the Illinois Housing Council, Allison served for 7 years as Director of Housing Initiatives at the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, a membership organization of the Chicago region’s 275 municipalities. At the Caucus, Allison was responsible for creating innovative programs and policies that help mayors and municipal staff address local and regional housing challenges. Prior to her time in Chicago, Allison worked for Commissioner Shaun Donovan’s Strategic Planning team at the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, where she was tasked with assessing and improving various affordable housing programs across the agency.
Allison has a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the Harris School at the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College. In 2017 she was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Illinois State Housing Task Force. She currently serves as co-chair of the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning Housing Committee and is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s Public Policy Committee.
Please Note: This is a members-only event limited to five (5) participants. As with every WP+D Small Networking Lunch, registration will open at 12:00PM on the first day of the month during which the lunch will be held. Registration occurs on a first-come, first-served basis and typically fills up quickly. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch; food is not provided. Meetings are held in Randolph Square on the 1st Floor of the Cultural Center. Look out for one of our board members and WP+D signage.
Attendance & Cancellation Policy: We ask that members register for no more than two (2) consecutive lunches. If you have attended the past two lunches and would like to attend this event, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org to be placed on the waitlist. If space becomes available or registration isn't full a week in advance, we will contact you. Due to the popularity of these lunches, we ask for a 48-hour cancellation notice. Failure to notify us in advance may result in a 3-month suspension from the Networking Lunch series.
