Join WP+D for a networking brown bag on Wednesday, April 18th from 12:00PM-1:00PM to talk with this month's featured guest: Lolita Sereleas, Founding Partner of FUND Consulting.
FUND Consulting is a woman-owned firm that provides both strategic and operational services to community development financial institution (CDFI), nonprofit, and government clients nationwide.
Since its inception in 2000, Lolita Sereleas has grown FUND Consulting from a staff of one with two clients to a staff of seven employees and nearly 250 clients spanning the nonprofit, municipality, and CDFI industries today. Ms. Sereleas has 20 years of direct experience in the CDFI industry, working the CDFI Fund’s first Bank Enterprise Award (BEA) help desk in 1994 and spearheading FUND Consulting’s development into the premier consulting firm serving the CDFI industry. She is an acknowledged expert in fundraising and strategic planning, working across all segments of the industry, including CDFI and Native CDFI loan funds, credit unions, and banks nationwide. Beyond the CDFI industry, Ms. Sereleas has worked extensively with mission-driven organizations representing health care organizations, education focused agencies, and local municipalities.
In addition to supporting the success of FUND’s clients, Ms. Sereleas has shared her knowledge and expertise in grantwriting, marketing, and strategic planning with broader audiences at conferences. She was most recently invited to speak at the 2012 and 2013 Opportunity Finance Network Annual Conference, 2013 Opportunity Finance Small Business Finance Forum, 2012 International Sprout Growers Association Annual Convention, and the 2012 Midwest Native American Economic Development Conference. She also currently serves as part-time faculty at DePaul University’s Public Service Graduate Program teaching Strategic Planning, allowing for her to bridge up to date academic theories with real world business experience for both her students and the firm. Ms. Sereleas has served on several nonprofit boards in the Chicago area and is also the author of “The ABCs of TIF” published by the American Planning Association. Ms. Sereleas holds an M.S. degree in Public Service Management and a Graduate Certificate in Metropolitan Planning from DePaul University.
