Join WP+D for a networking brown bag on Wednesday, August 16th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. to discuss professional development and career plans with this month's featured guest, Kimberly Porter, AICP, Program Management Manager at the Regional Transportation Authority.
Kimberly Porter, AICP is a Program Management Manager at the Regional Transportation Authority. She previously served as Director of Economic & Community Development for the Village of University Park, Illinois in which she worked on various large-scale projects for the Village to include the I-57 Stuenkel Road/University Parkway interchange and the successful negotiation of Clorox to University Park from Georgia. Kimberly’s focus areas include policy and program implementation related to land use, regional and sustainable community development, and access to transit. She has been a member of the American Planning Association (APA) for over 10 years. She received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Urban Studies from North Central College in Naperville, IL, and a master’s degree in Urban Planning & Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
This is a members-only event limited to five participants. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunches.
As with every WP+D Small Networking Lunch, registration will open at 12:00 p.m. the first day of the month during which the lunch will be held. Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and typically fill up quickly.
Attendance & Cancellation Policy:
Due to the popularity of these lunches, we ask for a 48-hour cancellation notice if you are unable to attend. Failure to notify us will result in a 3 month suspension from the Networking Lunch series.
We ask that members register for no more than two consecutive lunches. If you have attended the past two lunches and are interested in attending this event, please e-mail us at email@example.com asking to be put on the waitlist. If spaces become available or registration isn't full a week in advance, we will contact you.
