Join WP+D for a networking lunch on Wednesday, October 29th, 12:00 - 1:00 PM to discuss professional development and career plans with our featured guest, Guacolda Reyes! This event had been scheduled for August, but was cancelled due to personal reasons. We're excited Guacolda was able to reschedule.

As an intern at TRP, Ms. Reyes helped develop The Resurrection Rental Rehab Program. In 1993, she received in her Masters from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s School of Urban Planning and Policy focusing on housing and economic development. In her tenure at TRP, Ms. Reyes has executed over $100MM in real estate closings, through low-income rental housing apartments, single family homes, educational facilities, and commercial space development. A native of Chile, Ms. Reyes received her BA in Social Work from the Catholic University. Before moving to Chicago, she worked for several years as a community organizer for the Centro de Educación y Technología.

Ms. Reyes has been a board member of Latino Policy Forum formerly known as Latinos United since March 1998, Chicago Rehab Network since April 2000, member of the City of Chicago Community Land Trust Advisory Board since January 2006 and board member of BPI -Business and Professional People for the Public Interest- since May 2011. Join us at Specialty's Cafe, 77 S Dearborn to network and to hear more about Guacolda's current work and career path. Please note the change in location. The location was changed to not conflict with the regularly scheduled October networking lunch.  As with all small networking lunches, food will not be provided.
